VEGE Shokudo is a recreation of Japanese Vegan Chef Yoyo’s “once a week restaurant” that she does in Tokyo. Yoyo has been in town for a couple weeks and we decided to have one of her secret restaurants here at Cinders this Sunday! We had the chance of going to VEGE Shokudo in Tokyo when Cinders had a show there and it was amazing food, she’s an amazing person, the food is full of love. You should come if you lik…e delicious food with a rad vegan Japanese spin.

3 plate course for $12

There will be beer and wine available as well.

Yoyo is a Tokyo based independent vegan cook who founded a wednesday-only restaurant called “VEGE Shokudo” at her friend bar in Koenji,downtown Tokyo in 2007. Recently she has been cooking at an art space called Vacant in Harajyuku.

“I believe, food can connect adults and children, the poor and the rich, the urban and the countryside…which can be quite divided in general. I want to involve this idea with the action that i cook! ”
