Ron Regé Jr attended The Massachusetts College of Art from 1988-1993, where he supposedly earned a BFA in Illustration. It was around this time that he also began his real art education, while working at Charrette Reprographics in Harvard Square. He acted as personal xerographer and stat camera operator for local customers such as Byron Coley, Paul Laffoley, Scott McCloud, David Mamet, and the daughter of Al Capp. It was here that he first began to create elaborate handmade minicomics, as well as his first Graphic Novel The Dum Dum Posse Reader, in 1995. Ron currently lives in Los Angeles, where he created his most important work The Cartoon Utopia, published by Fantagraphics Books in 2012.
