Thanks to everyone who came out for our benefit auction, LOVE IS LIKE MAGIC, it was so much fun! There were heated bidding wars going down, a beautiful day for a bbq on the sidewalk, sipping on lemonade and beers and

Collect Williamsburg is a art walk tour in the neighborhood put together by the WGA and Art LOG.
Check in at Parker’s Box(193 Grand St.) or Supreme Trading (213 N. 9th st.) at 6:30pm and go around to 18 galleries, including us of course. Its $12 but if you say the code word” WGA” you get
it for $6. It includes a wine tasting and other free drinks during the night. A good way to see what’s happening around the hood for sure.

Whoah! We have recently gotten a large gaggle of amazing zines and art books in the shop including the new COMETBUS(#51,$3) a journey into the
secret history of Berkeley, CA’s Telegraph Ave, Sam McPheeters’long awaited new lil zine of hilarious fiction called CLOG($5), a
brand new Craphound(its been YEARS! $12) with the theme of Church and State, and a rad huge book of Travis Millard’s artwork called Hey Fudge($30).
Travis also sent us 3 different little sweet zines with silk screened covers($10 each) and chock full of his drawings! Plus Emportant, a book of
photos taken by skater/artist legend Mark Gonzales on his cellphone and a hilarious little zine called Labs with Abs($6) by Andrew Jeffrey Wright!
Also the new SCAM#6,($3) a travel essay about stenicl art in Argentina and lastly,Chillo by Mel Kadel,($24) another beautiful hand stained full color zine of her drawings, many of which

CONFLUX is happening all around us this coming week! Its an annual New York City festival for contemporary psychogeography, which focuses on investigating everyday city life through art and adventure in public situations. Its really alot of fun and worth checking out. The headquarters will be located at Mcaig Welles Gallery(129 Roebling st.), which happens to be right around the corner and currently has a show by Cinders resident robot artist R. Nicholas Kuszyk! Also, Sto will be giving his Ignorant Walking tours from Cinders as part of Conflux, so come over and get a tour, ok?

We had a great opening with Team LUMP tonite! Thanx to everyone who came out and showed their support. September is such an intense month here in NYC with so much going on everywhere, so it means a lot that so many people made it out to our show. And if you couldn’t make it, you should come by before Oct. 8th to see it! These guys came all the way from Raleigh,NC and brought with them a hairy Mr.T bust,a pile of cuddly
dead bodies,paintings, drawings, and video! We are back to our normal hours by the way.

Whoa, it suppossedly feels like 105 degrees today. I just came from running through the fire hydrant that is on full blast right now on our street.It was awesome but I’m already practically dry.
We had a great opening for Kim Schifino’s new show last week. You gotta come see it before the 20th of Aug! See and read all about it on our current shows page. Still working on this site but its getting there….
We’re leaving the 21st for North Carolina to do a show at Lump Gallery. If you’re in Raleigh, come and see us! The show opens Fri Sept 1st and runs thru the month.

The Drama magazine party was awesome, crazy, sweaty, and packed. Thanx to everyone who came out, the bands who played and to the Drama folks for coming up from Richmond,VA and giving away free issues!
